I was sifting through the bills and calculating how much it's going to cost to get Rado back working; and an odd question popped into my head. Does anyone here happen to know? If I have a 92 and I purchase a replacement motor for it does it have to be from 92 or would a 90 block work? Obviously I refrence a 90 because that's the block I drudged up but if it's not going to work due to some unforseen tedious thing I figured I'd check here first to save a bit of hassel.

If there is a difference with the actual block itself, or it's something that can't be adjusted by using the bolt on parts from my 92, knowing before would be great.
Also if there is a discrepency between earlier bolt-ons(external's i.e.-water pump manifold's etc.) and the later's that can be fixed I have no problem making adjustments and mix-and-matching things to get the configuration dialed. But if it involves machining or ECU issue's those are the places where my expertise does me no good.

Thanks in advance for any help and I'm not in a big rush for response because I'm still saving the cash so no pressure. It'd just be good to have the reassurence.

Hi mate, i forgets where you are? Uk? Usa?

Everything is interchangeable here in the UK, through all manufacture years. The only differences were between the Rallye (1h) and Corrado (pg) set ups. Different heads/inlet manifolds/head bolts etc.

Neil.

I live states-side.
Thanks for the clearification.
Oh, how I wish I could get my hands on the Rallye bits over here. Half the time I have trouble getting oem or stock replacement parts let alone the good stuff.

BTW-If all goes as planned I should have the cash to start ordering the parts and best of all the free time to start the rebuild. biggrin.gif
